Summary

A prolificPokemonfan artist has recently designed an alternative evolution for the Kantonian version of Farfetch’d. Alternative evolutions are among the most classic ways to reimaginePokemonand have been popular in fan art since the beginning of the franchise.

Farfetch’d is a Normal/Flying-type creature introduced inthe first generation ofPokemongames. The classic critter, which resembles a duck with a V-shaped mark on its head that carries a leek stalk, eventually gained a Galarian regional variant, which has the Fighting-type, and can evolve into Sirfetch’d. However, the Kantonian Farfetch’d does not have any official evolution.

Now, aPokemonfan called Just-Drawing-Mons decided to give the Kantonian Farfetch’d a new evolution with their latest fan art. The new creature, which is still unnamed, is a Flying/Fighting-type monster, and it retains some characteristics of the original Pokemon while giving it a new spin. For instance, the evolution still has the same colors and the leek stalk of the Kantonian duck-inspired Pokemon, but it looks more like a goose, has several scars over its body, and its V-shaped mark is now turned into a black mask.

Farfetch’d Evolution Pokemon Fan Art

This is far from the first time that Just-Drawing-Mons shared an amazing artwork with the community, as the artist has already devised dozens of pieces over the years. A few weeks ago, for example, thePokemonfan reimagined Gengar as a Flying/Dark-type. Instead of looking like a ghost in this art piece, Gengar was instead shaped like a bat, gaining long ears and huge fangs, as well as bat-inspired wings.

Farfetch’d and its Galarian evolution Sirfetch’d are somewhat popular inPokemonfan art. Earlier this year, for example, anotherfan devised a Mega Evolution for Sirfetch’d, which was shared among other designs, including new forms for Volcarona, Kleavor, and Excadrill. Mega Sirfetch’d appeared to be much bigger than its original counterpart and used a huge two-handed blade, ditching its leaf shield.

In another fan work shared last year, aPokemonplayer fused Corviknight and Sirfetch’dtogether. In this new form, the two bird-inspired Gen 8 monsters became a sort of bird dark knight, which had dark blue armor, a sharp beak, and a metal-like helmet, as well as Sirfetch’d classic sword and shield. ThePokemonfranchise shows no sign of slowing down in popularity anytime soon, and dedicated fans will likely come up with even more interesting evolutions for classic creatures like Farfetch’d in the future.
