Among the Halloween-inspiredPokemoncreations of October 2022 is an incredible Litwick candle made by a fan of the Gen 5 Ghost and Fire-type Pokemon. With the release ofPokemon Scarlet and Violeton the way in November, manyPokemonfans are focusing their artwork on the next generation of the series, but a Reddit user is among those still celebratingPokemon Black and WhitePokedex entries.
Reddit user Phonyphones recently shared an image of their customized Litwick candle that looks remarkably similar to the small Gen 5 Pokemon. Litwick was first introduced inPokemon Black and White, but several fans of the Ghost and Fire-type Pokemon met it in various episodes of the anime, including one named after it titled “Scare at the Litwick Mansion.” APokemon Scarlet and Violettrailer has confirmed a Pokemonthat many fans have likened Litwick to called Greavard, which has a similarly colored candle atop its head to the one in Phonyphones' post.

Phonyphones' Litwick has the melted candle aesthetic apparent in its hair and legs and instead of topping the custom candle with a wick, there’s a platform for thePokemonfan to place a tea light. The tea light used in the image is fittingly illuminated with purple to match Litwick’s base design but could easily be switched to a blue flame to appear more like the much rarer Shiny Litwick. The creative candle made by Phonyphones shows some character as the smiling Fire andGhost-type Pokemonraises one arm while pointing its other arm toward its mid-section as if it were entering a battle with a dance.
Given the Ghost-type nature of Litwick, it’s not strange to see the Pokemon celebrated during the Halloween season, but Phonyphones' attention to detail in the candle has garnered the attention of many other Reddit users. Responding to the positive response to their Litwick candle, Phonyphones confirmed thatPokemonfans that want one of their own can purchase one through their Etsy. While Phonyphones' photo also celebrates other Pokedex entries such as Gengar, Mimikyu, Phantump, and more, otherPokemon like Gastlyhave been commemorated in Jack-o-Lanterns, and the Trick or Trade Booster bundle being sold at some retailers.
ManyPokemonfans have expressed their enthusiasm for Phonyphones' Litwick candle, with the post getting over 400 likes in less than a day. Though it’s currently unclear if any of these Reddit users will get a Litwick candle of their own, a couple ofPokemonfans suggested putting the creation on top of a dog’s head to replicate the look ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Greavardas part of their promotion of the product.
