It’s the beginning of a new month, which means a whole lot of new content forPokemon GOplayers to enjoy. Niantic has already detailedall the Spotlight Hourswhich will be taking place throughout July, but it looks like Niantic still has some surprises up its sleeve, specifically relating to Team Rocket, or Team GO Rocket as they’re referred to in-game.

It’s been a while since we last saw the villainous group inPokemon GO, but it’s unsurprising to see them making a comeback given how tenacious they are. According to a new update from Niantic, which has taken the form of a report from Professor Willow, Team Rocket appears to be making hot-air balloons, with the aim being to use them to help steal Pokemon.

In a picture of some Clefairy, the balloon in question can be vaguely seen in the background. This all seems to line up with a datamine leak from over a week ago, which suggested thatTeam Rocket would be returning with a balloon of some kind.

Details are still scarce, though, as there’s no word on when this suspected event will start or what it will entail. It’s entirely possible that it won’t begin until next month and, while it might be safe to assume that battles with Rocket members will return, the inclusion of the balloon could mean that encounters may work differently.

While a continuous stream of content is certainly great for regular players, it hasn’t all been good news as of late.Raid Invites for friendswere supposed to be added to the game this month, but Niantic has been forced to delay it due to technical issues. At the time of writing, there is no word on a new expected release date.

In related news,Pokemonfans are still excited for the newPokemon Snapgame that was announced a few weeks ago. With the original game releasing in 1999, that means that there are seven Generations' worth of Pokemon to be included this time around, but the original game was stillmissing some key members of the first set of games' PokeDex, which some are hoping will be included in the sequel.
