Pokemon Scarlet and Violetwill be following series tradition and introduce three new starters. The games will also continue the trend of the starters being Grass-Type, Water-Type, and Fire-Type. While it seems thatPokemon Scarlet and Violetwill be making changes, there are a few traditions that the upcoming RPGs will be keeping.

One of the starters being introduced in the ninth generation of Game Freak’s RPGs is Fuecoco. Fuecoco will bePokemon Scarlet and Violet’sFire-Type starter, and looks like a cross between an alligator and an apple. Since the pocket monster was introduced, a number of gamers have come up with their ideas for its final evolution. Until the creature is officially revealed, all gamers can do is speculate, which is what one fan of the games is doing.

A Redditor known as PaleAd6109 shared their idea for whatFuecoco’s final evolutioncould be. Dubbed “Ghost King Fuecoco,” the Pokemon shares many aspects of its base form while also developing characteristics of its own. The pocket monster still has the white stomach and yellow patches that starter did, though it is much taller and beefier. The Evolution has grown flames on its arms and tail, and has a crown of fire floating over its head. The creature also stands with its mouth agape, as what looks like lava flows out.

PaleAd6109’s take on Fuecoco’s evolution has garnered a number of fans. One commenter stated that this was their favorite take on the pocket monster’s final evolution, saying that it has a lot of personality to it. Another mentioned that is full of character as it looks cool while still being a bit silly, while another would love if this is what the starter turned into. PaleAd6109’s idea for what Fuecoco can become is interesting and is a good idea for whatPokemon Scarlet and Violet’sFire-Type starter can become.

This is not the first time that PaleAd6109 has shared their ideas for where thePokemon Scarlet and Violetstarters can end up. The artist gave ideas for the evolutionary line of all three pocket monsters, including a different take on Fuecoco’s final evolution. Sprigatito develops darker colored fur and a small cloak while keeping the leaf pattern on its face, though it does get substantially darker. Fuecoco ends up on all fours and grows into what resembles a large alligator though it keeps its bright colors. Finally, Quaxly grows to become much taller with its hat resembling that of a sailor’s more as it evolves. All the evolutionary lines look interesting and could easily pass for the real thing.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violetwill release for the Nintendo Switch on November 18.
