To ease the confusion around the issue, this guide will help explain how to manage the game save migration in Niantic’s ambitious sleep-tracking app with easy to follow steps which are listed below.

How to Transfer Pokemon Sleep Data

To transferPokemon Sleepdata, players shoulduse the Support ID and Transfer Codeor log into their Google, Facebook, or App ID on the new device.

Once thePokemon Sleepapp is installed on the replacement device, tap “Transfer Existing Save Data” instead of “Start Fresh,” and enter the Support ID with Transfer Code.

Alternatively, players can also unlink their social media accounts from the original game and log back into them on the new device. This will automatically transfer all the sleep data, allowing players to carry on from where they left off.

It is not possible to have onePokemon Sleepaccount on two devices.Players will first need to log out of their gameon one phone before transferring their data.

How to Get a Transfer Code in Pokemon Sleep

After launchingthePokemon Sleepapp, tap “Issue a Transfer Code” under the Link Accounts tab in the main menu. This will generate a unique 6-digit code that can then be used to move saved files to another phone.

If the previous Transfer Code is expired, go to the Main Menu, select Settings and More, and open Link Accounts. From here, tap “Check Transfer Code” and then “Get New Transfer Code” in the top-right corner of the screen.

Following the above steps will also show players their Niantic Support ID.Go to Main Menu > Settings and More > Link Accounts > Issue a Transfer Code > and take a screenshot of the 16-digit ID.

How to Transfer Account Data without a Transfer Code

An alternative method for players with no Support ID or Transfer Code islinking social accounts. On the initial device, go to the “Link Accounts” tab under Settings and More and unlink any synched social media accounts. Then, launch the app on the replacement phone and log back into the same accounts.

Players 16 or younger might not be able to transfer theirPokemon Sleepdata using the account linking method. The only way for them to move their files is by using the Support ID and Transfer Code.

SincePokemon Sleepuses a cloud system for storing saved files, everything will be carried over to the new device. This includesPokemon Helpers, collected items, earned Diamonds andand Biscuits, and all achievements.
