Apex Legendsplayers are in the midst of Season 13 of the battle royale known as Savior. With a new Legend called Newcastle and anupdated Storm Point map, there are plenty of reasons for players to be excited to jump into the battle royale this season. In addition, the developers have made a number of changes to help improve the overall gameplay experience. While many of these adjustments have been welcomed by members of the community, their implementation has brought a few unintended side effects.

One of the adjustments made by the developers at the start of Season 13 related to the out-of-bounds areas on the map. As part of the update at the start of the season, players could no longer perform certain actions such as fire weapons, use items, throw grenades, and activate Legend abilities when in these areas. While these changes made by the developers were meant to reduce the number of campers in-game, they have caused some players to get caught on the game’s geometry.

Recently, one player shared a clip on Reddit from a battle royale match on Storm Point in which they revealed that the out-of-bounds areas on the map were not working as intended.Playing as Valkyrie, the clip begins with the gamer taking one of the Gravity Cannons situated around the map. While these mechanisms are meant to aid players in rotating to different POIs, they sometimes have unintended consequences, as this player recently found out.

After taking the Gravity Cannon, theValkyrie player activated their VTOL Jetsbefore reaching the ground, slowing their descent. This allowed them to access a ledge on the edge of a cliffside near the Storm Catcher POI. Unfortunately, they soon discovered an invisible wall was preventing them from jumping down to the ground. To make matters worse, the “return to battle” timer was counting down. In an unlucky turn of events, the player died because they could not return to the battleground before the timer reached zero.

Unsurprisingly, this unfortunate clip showcasing a bugged wall on Storm Point caught the attention of numerousmembers of theApex Legendscommunityon Reddit. In only a couple of days, the post had accumulated over 3,000 upvotes on Reddit. Among the comments, many noted that they had encountered similar scenarios during matches as well. “I hate how out of bounds stuff is so slippery,” medicspirit7 said on Reddit.

It is obviously frustrating for players to meet an untimely death at the hands of these invisible barriers. Hopefully, the developers at Respawn Entertainment will look into addressing these bugged walls inApex Legendsin the coming days. As for now, it appears players should exercise caution when going outside the boundaries of the play area, especially near this location on Storm Point.
