Most players were expecting Rockstar to release content forRed Dead Redemption 2that would allow them to experience the magic of the first game’s DLC. However, the developers haven’t released any official announcement regarding DLC for the title, prompting players to take things into their own hands. The end result isUndead Nightmare 2 - Origins, a total conversion mod forRed Dead Redemption 2that turns the area of New Austin into a zombie-ridden wasteland!

There are several changes in this mod that turn New Austin into a new and exciting playground. Towns are boarded up with survivors trying their hardest to survive and shoot down any zombies that come their way. Along with this, hunting animals becomes a riskier task with the undead roaming the wilderness. Smaller changes include a sinister Blood Moon and a reworked ambiance that is distinctly more terrifying. While the majority of zombiesroam around New Austin, the player can possibly encounter the undead in other states all over the map, albeit in reduced numbers.
The installation process to get this mod working is fairly simple. First of all, players need to install two other mods beforehand — Lenny’s Mod Loader and Project New Austin: 1907. After this, they have to go to Red Dead Redemption 2/lml/1907 and delete the folder fittingly labeled ‘DELETE FOR UNII’. Finally, the “lml” and “NA” folders from this mod need to be moved over to the main directory instead. After all these steps are followed, players can finally start playing throughRed Dead Redemption 2with the added twist of zombies.
Most fans would be absolutely jubilant at the prospect of zombies inRed Dead Redemption 2. After all,Undead Nightmareis considered by many to be one of the greatest DLCs ever released, with the alternate adventure featured in this side story being an absolute blast to play through. WhileUndead Nightmare 2 - Originsobviously doesn’t feature content of that caliber, it’s still an excellent fan mod that will entertain players to no end. Players can make this experience even more memorable by downloading the Undead John Marston mod as well!
