Following the release ofRed Dead Redemption 2, many fans noticed that features from the original game weren’t included in the second game. WhileRed Dead Redemption 2does have a number of lighthearted and amusing moments, the originalRed Dead Redemptionfeatured a lot more goofy elements, one being mythical horses.
The story ofJohn Marstonin the originalRed Dead Redemptionoffered a number of serious and emotional moments, like withRed Dead Redemption 2, but there is also a multitude of less believable game mechanics featured throughout, such as having horses with special abilities named after the four horsemen of the apocalypse: death, famine, pestilence, and war. Now, aRed Dead Redemption 2player has managed to recreate one of these horses in-game.

A Reddit user by the name of M0R7UM managed to recreate the War horse from the originalRed Dead Redemption. The War horse was a pre-order bonus back when the game first released, but it was later added to the game following the release ofUndead Nightmare. It’s amazing to see the horse come back to life with updated graphics.
It’s cool to see how much influence the originalRed Dead Redemptionhas on the gaming community. Since the release ofRed Dead Redemption 2, players have been recreating other elements from the original game within the second installment. For instance, one playerrecreated nearly every outfit fromRed Dead Redemption 1inRed Dead Redemption 2.
Many players consider the story and characters ofRed Dead Redemption 2to be much more complex and involved than in the previous game, but the first game also had its fair share of narrative complexity, especially towards the end. While the story ofArthur Morganmay take itself more seriously, it’s not without its fair share of goofiness reminiscent of the previous installment. Though, it definitely doesn’t feature legendary horses named after the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds in terms ofRed Dead Redemption. Right now, most of Rockstar Games' efforts seem to be focused on the development ofRed Dead Online. Thus, another mainline installment in theRed Dead Redemptionseries likely won’t release for several more years. Then again, with how many rumors there have been regarding the development ofGrand Theft Auto 6, fans might be able to expect something new from Rockstar Games in the years to come.
