Custom built PC cases and console shells are nothing new. Fans love to build one-of-a-kind PCs or consoles to show off their love for a particular game or franchise through their own blood, sweat, and tears, like thisincredible PC built to look like the Wardcliff Coil rocket launcher fromDestiny 2. But a new case a fan built forRed Dead Redemption 2will surely blow people away.

Custom built homages to games come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes companies create or commission one of a kind consoles or PCs, like when Microsoft gaveaway an Xbox One X that looked like the King of the Monsters, Godzilla. Sometimes they are small but richly detailed creations by fans, like an amazingGod of WarPS4 controller celebrating the game’s protagonist Kratos. The fan behind this customRed Dead Redemption 2build however went big.

PiXelit! is a Swedish couple on Reddit, YouTube, and elsewhere who do letsplays and the like. ThisRed Dead Redemption 2PC case is actually their first build they have tackled. The case is an actual wood crate designed to look like a Wheeler, Rawson and Co. dynamite crate from the game. Those who playRed Dead Onlinewill also likely remember theWheeler, Rawson and Co. name from the Outlaw Pass.

The PC build contains an AMD Ryzen 2700 CPU and a Sapphire Pulse 5700xt GPU hooked onto an Asus Rog B 450-F motherboard. Many commenters questioned how well a wooden case would handle the heat of having a modern PC inside of it, but piXelit! has the benchmark tests to confirm that wood makes for a fine case as long as it is properly ventilated.

The case is full of neat details, including woodburned designs of not just the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. logo, but also theRed Dead Redemption 2logo and an illustration of Arthur on horseback. All of the cables are wrapped in rope that they weathered with coffee grounds for an extra level of detail. Of course no dynamite crate is complete without dynamite, but thankfully the fake dynamite mounted inside means the PC won’t belaunching anyone obscene distances like it would if it was in the game.

The couple teased another PC build is planned, but they didn’t reveal any more information. So, fans will just have to wait and see if their next build will be as explosive as this one.

Red Dead Redemption 2is available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
