The hype surrounding Arkane’s upcomingRedfallis rising after the title recently received a spotlight at the Xbox & Bethesda Developer_Direct presentation. With the title now confirmed to be releasing in just a few months' time, details have emerged regarding things like pre-order bonuses and different editions that players can buy at launch.
One of the most expensive versions ofRedfallthat players can purchase is the Bite Back Edition, which has come under some fire for its $99.99 price tag. While the value of each piece of content within the Bite Back Edition is debatable judging by its full price tag, the edition does possess a wide-range of digital items for owners to equip and enjoy in-game.

Bite Back Edition Includes Redfall’s Hero Pass With Two Future Heroes
One of the main perks thatRedfall’sBite Back Editiongrants is access to the game’s Hero Pass. On top of the full base game, the Bite Back Edition’s Hero Pass will give fans access to two Heroes who will eventually be implemented as part ofRedfall’s hopefully extensive post-launch roadmap.
Seasonal Battle Passes are a continually growing trend within the video game industry, with themassively successful battle royaleFortnitereally bringing the concept to the mainstream in 2017.Redfallis adopting a similar approach, with in-game playable heroes being added post-launch, though not a lot of information is yet available regarding what they can do. The Hero Pass will give players immediate access to at least two of these additions, but that isn’t all that will be included in the $99.99 package.

Weapon Skins and Attachments
The Bite Back Edition also includes some attractive weapon modifications, which range from purely cosmetic to genuinely offering a tactical advantage. For example, the Bite Back Edition includes the eccentric Laser Beam skin, which can be equipped to multiple different weapons toadd some flare toRedfall’scombat.
Beyond the Laser Beam skin, the Bite Back Edition ofRedfallcomes with a Tactical Knife Stake weapon attachment. This particular attachment is a perfect combat tool for any close-quarters vampire engagement, replacing the stake attached to most weapons with a sleek blade that will likely offer different in-game stats.

A Redfall Throwback Outfit Pack
The most comprehensive perk available as a part ofRedfall’sBite Back Edition is the Throwback Outfit Pack, which includes unique skins for the four base heroes at launch. As the name of the pack suggests, the skins are related to the lives that each hero lived prior to thesinister vampire outbreak that characterizes the world ofRedfall.
Devinder receives the Northern Expedition Outfit, while Jacob receives the Eyes in the Dark Outfit. The other two heroes, Layla and Remi, receive the War Clothes and Engineer Volunteer Outfits, respectively, meaning there is content to be enjoyed by players regardless of who they choose to lead through the apocalypse.
It was perhaps inevitable thatRedfall’sBite Back Edition would be a source of discourse when taking into account the purely digital nature of its contents, but there is a lot of content to enjoy for those who do make the decision to purchase it. It’s worth keeping in mind thatRedfallis also launching as an Xbox Game Pass title, with Game Pass members able to upgrade to the Bite Back Edition for as little as $30. Here, it becomes a slightly more sensible price point.
