Netflix released an official teaser trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation ofThe Seven Deadly Sinsauthor Nakaba Suzuki’s 1998 golf manga,Rising Impact. The adaptation of Suzuki’s first-ever manga serialization adds to Netflix’s ever-increasing and impressive catalog of anime originals of several works from various mediums, includingMonsterauthor Naoki Urasawa’sPlutomanga. In addition to the teaser trailer, a brand-new key visual featuring series protagonist Gawain Nanaumi was also revealed.
Set for premiere on the streaming service in 2024, the teaser trailer forRising Impactrevealed that the anime will run for two seasons in Summer 2024. The first will premiere in June 2024, while the second is slated for release in August 2024.
Nakaba Suzuki’sRising Impactwas originally serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine, running for 17 volumes from November 1998 to February 2002. The series follows the journey of third-grader Gawain Nanaumi in the sport of golf. The upcoming anime boasts a star-studded cast and staff roles as various veterans have been announced.

Rising Impactis being produced by staff at studio Lay-Duce (Tomo-chan Is a Girl!;Magi: Adventure of Sinbad).Golden Kamuydirector Hitoshi Nanba will serve as director on the series, while Michiro Tsuchiya will be the scriptwriter, and Studio Durian’s Kiyotaka Oshiyama, whoworked onCHAINSAW MAN, andSpace Dandy, serves as the character designer. Masaru Yokoyama, composer of soundtracks to anime series likeArakawa Under the Bridge;Classroom of the Elite;ChihayafuruandFruits Basket, will provide the music. TheRising Impactanime is set to run for two seasons in June and August 2024; however, no confirmation on the number of episodes has been made as yet.
