After a Disney/Marvel shakeup that left the future of the show in unknown territory, it seems thatVision Questis reportedly finally going into production. Rumor has it that the show is set to begin filming in October of this year, with filming reportedly taking place in the UK.
Vision Questis geared up to be thefirst solo outing of Vision(Paul Bettany). The android superhero first appeared inAvengers: Age of Ultron, created by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner as a way to stop the titular villain. Since then, Vision has appeared inCaptain America: Civil WarandAvengers: Infinity Warin smaller roles, the latter of which marks the character’s death in Thanos’s quest to get the Infinity Stones. Despite this, the character costarred with the Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) inWandavision, the first MCU television showto air on Disney+, preceding a long line of MCU shows.
According to apost by Twitter user @ScarletWitchUpd,Vision Questwill definitively begin filming this October in the UK. Not the only thing backing this theory up, however,Production Weekly listedVision Questto begin production as well in their most recent issue published this week. Production Weekly is a publication that lists approaching productions and jobs available for crew members to apply to. They have made errors regarding production dates before, but they are generally credible.
This news is surprising to many, as the last few months of 2023 were rough for hopeful Vision fans. Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that the plan was toreduce the output of Disney+ shows, possibly delayingVision Quest. Many began to worry the show was outright canceled in October, as eagle-eyed fans spotted the showrunner (andWandaVisioncreator) Jac Schaeffer’s WGA page was updated, removingVision Questfrom her directing credits. Luckily, if rumor outside official confirmation is believed, the show is still happening.
InWandaVision, overwhelmed by her grief of losing him, Wanda Maximoff resurrected Vision and cast a hex on the small-town population Westview, to lead the happy life with Vision and their two children they never got to have. White Vision, created by S.W.O.R.D. as a weapon to destroy the newly resurrected Vision, was instead given all of the real Vision’s memories, stating “I am Vision,” before flying off. Since the real Vision died once again so that Wanda could end the hex,Vision Questwill follow White Vision after his departure.
