For years now, rumors and leaks have pointed to aMetroid Prime TrilogySwitch port being in the works at Nintendo, with the latest information suggesting that the project has actually finished development. Apparently,Metroid Prime Trilogyon Switch is ready for release, but Nintendo is sitting on it until it can release it closer to theMetroid Prime 4release date. Whether or not there’s any truth to these rumors remains to be seen, but now Samus Aran voice actor Jennifer Hale was commented on the situation.
If theMetroid Prime TrilogySwitch portdoes exist, it seems as though Hale has not been contacted about it. This could be a strong indication thatMetroid Prime Trilogyon Switch is a straight port with no new content, so fans should expect an experience near-identical to the Wii version. The most likely scenario is thatMetroid Prime Trilogyon Switch will have slightly improved graphics and not much else, though that’s just speculation at this time as Nintendo hasn’t even confirmed that it exists yet.

Jennifer Haleseemingly being unaware ofMetroid Prime Trilogyon Switch may make some fans think that the rumors about the project are false, but that’s not necessarily the case. SinceMetroid Prime Trilogyon Switch is a port of an existing game, it wouldn’t necessarily call for any new voice work to be recorded. This could explain how theMetroid Prime TrilogySwitch port could exist behind close doors without Hale knowing about it.
For those somehow unfamiliar with her work, Jennifer Hale is known for being the world’s most-prolific video game voice actress, and she continues to have a major presence in the industry. This year alone, Hale has already provided the voice for the popular newRatchet & ClankcharacterRivet inRatchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and she also provides the voice for Kimmy Howell in the upcomingNo More Heroes 3.
And while Hale has apparently not been contacted to provide any additional voice work for Samus Aran inMetroid Prime Trilogyon Switch, that doesn’t mean that she won’t have a chance to play the character again at some point in the future. After all,Retro Studios is makingMetroid Prime 4right now, and since Hale voiced Samus in the previous threeMetroid Primegames, it would make sense to have her reprise the role in the new game.
As it stands,Metroid Prime Trilogyfor Switch hasn’t even been officially announced. WhileMetroid Prime Trilogyretail leaksand reports from reputable industry insiders certainly suggest that the project is in the works, it’s better for fans to keep their expectations in check until Nintendo itself makes the official announcement.
