If there’s one way to describeSea of Thieves, it’s that it’s an exploration game at its core. Crews of players around the world have enjoyed sailing around the open sea for years now, discovering treasure andother unique elementsalong the way. One of these elements is beacons, fire pits that can be lit with a lantern.

There are a total of 12 beacons inSea of Thieves, three for each region. One of these regions is The Shores of Plenty. Located in the northwestern area of the main map, it has some of the brighter, more vibrant islands in the game.
3Cannon Cove
The first stop is Cannon Cove, a large island that is located at the coordinate of G-10. If players are looking for a specific landmark to note about this island, it is the massive rock formation in the middle that looks like a cannon. The good news is this is the place to go when looking for this island’s beacon. The bad news is that accessible by just attempting to climb it on foot.
Players should try to situate their ship so that way the ship’s cannons are directly facing the peak of this rock. Have a crewmatejump into the cannonand have another adjust it so that way the perfect angle is achieved. If players are able to shoot themselves to the top, they will be able to light the torch.
2Mermaid’s Hideaway
Players should then make their way southwest where they will come across the Mermaid’s Hideaway in-between coordinates B-13 and C-13. There is a lot of intrigue with this island as there is an underwater cave the players can gain access to by finding the island’s mineshaft. However, this island’s beacon is a lot easier than previously as it’s right on the island’s surface.

When arriving on the island, there will be a few notable cliffs present. The best way to find the beacon is to find the pond that is situated in the middle of the island first. Doing so and looking up at the cliff in front of the pond will help players spot the lantern fairly easily. All players will need to do then is make the climb up to light it.
1Smuggler’s Bay
Finally, players should head as far north as they possibly can. At coordinate F-3, sailors will find Smuggler’s Bay. To park the boat inside of the island, players will need to go through the rock formation that forms a gateway and park at the nearby dock.
From here, players should see the beacon high up in the middle of the cliffs. Players can get up here by making the long trek from the center of the island up the right side where the cliff merges with the beach. The individuals approaching the beacon will be able to light it andtake in the beautiful sightof the arch in the distance and large lake players arrived in.
