These items could just be the beginning ofSonic Frontiers' DLC. Through more collaborations, as well as other things that could be added to the game, players could still have much to enjoy withSonic Frontiersafter beating it.

Mario and Sonic

Items From Other Video Games Could Be Added To Sonic Frontiers

Due toSonic Frontiersalready collaborating with Inugami Korone andMonster Hunter, it wouldn’t be surprising if Sega worked with other companies to add more items to the game. After all, there have been many collaborations involvingSonic the Hedgehogin the past.Sega and Nintendohave often worked together, as Sonic the Hedgehog has appeared inSuper Smash Bros.games, and the two companies worked together to create theMario & Sonic at the Olympic Gamesseries. It’s very possible that Nintendo-themed items will appear in the Switch version ofSonic Frontiers.

It would also make a lot of sense for items based on other Sega games to appear inSonic Frontiers. BesidesSonic the Hedgehog, Sega is also known for its work onYakuza,Persona,Super Monkey Ball, andNights, among many others, so fans of those series would certainly enjoy getting items from those games inSonic Frontiers.

More Islands And Playable Characters Should Be Added To Sonic Frontiers

While there is already a lot to do inSonic Frontiers, there could always be more. Seeing as howSonic Frontierstakes place across several islands, adding more of them would give players a lot to do. Like the islands that are already in the game, fans would have new challenges to face, whether it be solving a puzzle or fighting a boss.

In the game’s story, Sonic’s goal is to free his friends, who are trapped at the islands. A great way to keep players coming back for more is allowing them to play as those characters as well. It could be a lot of fun to travel around each island as Knuckles, Amy, and Tails, doing the same things that Sonic had done, but with gameplay styles that fit each character. After all, they’ve all been playable in previousSonic the Hedgehoggames, and players have enjoyed controlling them.

Shadow the Hedgehog

Sonic Frontiers Should Take A Page Out Of Sonic Forces' Book

Back in 2017,Sonic Forcesreleased but failed to deliver a popular game in the series.Sonic Frontiersis here now to patch upForces' legacy; Sonic Team changed the formula a lot to give players something that they would enjoy more. However, one of the interesting things aboutSonic Forceswas its DLC, “Episode Shadow,” which served as a prequel to the main game in which Shadow the Hedgehog was a playable character.

Shadow is one of the most belovedSoniccharacters, so some fans may have been disappointed that he wasn’t inSonic Frontiers. It would be great to see him return in DLC of his own once again, ifSonic Frontierswere to have its own “Episode Shadow.” This DLC could tell a new story, just likeSonic Forces' DLC did, and reveal what Shadow has been up to before, during, or even possibly after Sonic’s journey. There will hopefully be a lot of DLC inSonic Frontiers, keeping players entertained until the next game in the franchise releases.

Sonic Frontiersis available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
