The gameSoulsticeis absolutely not something that can be easily mastered in one playthrough, even if there are people who can pick it up easier than others. On top of this, there are a lot of common mistakes that many players can end up finding themselves making.

7Not Learning To Experiment With The Camera

Unfortunately, the camera work is going to be one of the main things that a player struggles with in the gameSoulstice. It is not meant to be difficult either. The camera is just perpetually changing, depending on if the player isregularly exploring, platforming, or fighting.

However, a player can manually control the camera, giving them an eye everywhere at all times. This will ensure that there is not, say, an enemy sneaking up behind the player, which can cause their otherwise perfect score to be ruined if they do not see it in time before it lands an attack.

6Refusing To Get Used To The Game’s Weapons

There are a lot of weapons in the game, and not all of them play in a similar way - this can be something that many players expect, but it is worth noting for sure. Themany weapons of the gamewill play differently and will be stronger and weaker against certain types of enemies.

For example, the first weapon that the player gets in the game - a massive hammer called the Ashen Enforcer - can be used to burst down enemy barriers very easily, however, will struggle a bit against flying enemies. Nevertheless, even then, a player can still use it against enemies who are flying through the air.

5Going For A Low Score

One mistake that many players make is that they do not specifically aim for a high score while playing throughSoulstice. While it may be tempting to just blast through the enemies and be done with it without putting in anything fancy, this would actually hurt the player in the long run.

Players who avoid damage, create new and exciting combos, and generally put up one good fight will be rewarded handsomely, as their score will keep going up, maximizing the rewards that they will get. As such, this means that they will gain more currency in order to buy more consumables that can turn the tide in their favor for a battle.

4Forgetting To Explore

Exploring is everything in the gameSoulstice. Seeing as not many players may think to start exploring, there are many rewards that they will miss out on.

Exploration and thoroughly searching the world ofSoulsticewill reveal all sorts of gems and rewards. This can becrystals to upgradethe main character, items that increase the player’s health, or even more enemy encounters.

3Not Learning About Unity

Unity is what a player will gain when they use both Briar and the soul of Lute. While a player should not completely focus on gaining Unity, it is still going to be incredibly useful, and many players can still end up completely forgetting to fill up the gauge.

The Unity Gauge, once it is fully filled up, will unlock a Synergy Attack. This Synergy Attack, when used at the end of a combo, will unleash a huge attack, which can be used to clear out large waves of enemies.

2Not Using The Fields

Fields are going to be one of the player’s best ways to deal with the world around them, but despite all of that it is still very possible for a player to completely not understand them. These fields are going to be handled by Lute, and are used to make platforms or other hidden objects tangible.

However, a player must remember not to strain her too hard, either. If they keep these Fields up for too long,Lute will disappear temporarily, which can be a problem if players need to use her for her counters.

1Pushing Past Each Limitation For Counters

Lute can actually counterattack incoming attacks - though a player will have to upgrade her to unlock the full potential of her counters, it is still better than nothing. However, many players may end up trying to push her counterattacking limitations too far.

It is worth noting thatcounterattacks do not stop enemies from attacking the player. The most she can do is delay them, and the enemies will resume their attacks once her countering effect ends - regardless if she is using the Slow counter, barrier, deflecting a projectile attack, or even straight up canceling one incoming attack. The enemywillstart hitting the player all over again.
