Stardew Valleyis a terrific game for people interested in building the farm of their dreams, but one player managed to take it a step further and use a more secluded area of the map to set up their furniture and create a secret restaurant. The start of everyStardew Valleyplaythroughhas the protagonist inherit their grandpa’s farm, and following a mental breakdown working at a soulless cubicle job, they retire to the countryside in pursuit of a more fulfilling lifestyle. Tending to their crops, foraging the wilderness, exploring the mines, and interacting with the residents of Pelican Town are some of the ways players can shape and evolve theirStardew Valleyexperience, be it solo or co-op.

A key part ofStardew Valley’s progression is its Community Center(or JojaMart, alternatively). By investing into the local community, players can see Pelican Town transform, as the game’s world opens up through new playable areas with new challenges ready to be tackled. One of the most pivotal upgrades aStardew Valleyplayer can obtain is by repairing the bus, granting them access to the Desert and its Skull Cavern. Unbeknownst to some, the Bus Stop area connects to the tunnel nearby, and players can explore it by simply going inside.

A player named anon120 on Reddit posted a rather original concept of a secret restaurant built within the tunnel, sharing it with theStardew Valleycommunity. Complete with a kitchen stove, cozy fireplace, bar, and several potted plants, the dimly lit restaurant is certainly one of the most atmospheric builds thatStardew Valleyplayers have made over the years.

Given that the tunnel is very much used withinStardew Valley’s lore, one can’t help but wonder what happens to the restaurant overnight. Though the road is a static area with no traffic (if considered solely through a gameplay perspective), it’s still an interesting situation to ponder. One comment suggested that the restaurant becomes a drive-thru whenever there’s traffic or when Pam takes the player to the Desert, while another discussed the sheer enormity of the restaurant’s rebuilding costs.

Though Concerned Ape is hard at work on his next game, thecreator ofStardew Valleyhas shared info on Version 1.6, offering a glimpse into what players can expect from the upcoming update before he returns to theHaunted Chocolatierproper. While not much is known about the project in full detail,Haunted ChocolatierisStardew Valley’s spiritual successor and will allow players to start up a chocolate shop in a snowed-in town while living in a haunted castle.

Stardew Valleyis available now for PC, Mobile, Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.
