ThoughSkyrimhas been around for nearly 12 years, that has not stopped players from finding new ways to play or break the game. With anunpredictable AI that can lead to some funnySkyrimmoments, or put players in unfortunate situations, the world of Tamriel can be a quirky place despite the serious undertones that spanThe Elder Scrollsseries overall. Though the more things change inSkyrim, some things, such as players preferring the bow and arrow as preferred weapons, remain constant. After firing an arrow, one player noted that things took a strange turn afterward.

On Reddit, a user named robert1070 posted two screenshots of a gargantuan arrow that flew from their bow and posted their tale on theSkyrimsubreddit. After firing a shot from their bow,the OP said that the big arrow popped up on the screen. The arrow spanned the length of a nearby treeline, andtwo unnamedSkyrimcompanion NPCs stood closefor a point of comparison. After taking the screenshots, the OP used console commands withinSkyrimto determine where the shot went and discovered that it had killed an enemy NPC. Along the way, the OP got into a fight with a group of foes but quickly dispatched them. After the fight was settled, robert1070 looted the arrow to remove it from sight.

The post on Reddit received hundreds of upvotes in half a day. While it was never stated by the OP ifthe bow they used inSkyrimwas a factor in causing the enlarged arrow to appear, the fact that the glitch happened was worth documenting. In the comments, other users noted that of all the glitches they had seen inSkyrim, none of them have ever seen a gigantic arrow appear from their bow before. While some users joked that Sheogorath, the Daedric Prince of Madness, was playing a prank, the OP said that it was their first time seeing such a stark glitch after 3,000 hours of gameplay.

With hilarious bugs that make characters such asRalof break out into an Irish jig,Skyrimhas continued to provide entertainment for players over a decade since its initial release. WithThe Elder Scrolls 6in the works, it remains to be seen if the sequel will carry overSkyrim’s shenanigans.
