Bing Bong Is An Imp The Party Adopted
To promoteBaldur’s Gate 3,the voice actors of the six Origin characters - assisted by Narrator voice actor Amelia Tyler - played aDungeons and Dragonsone-shot created and DMed by High Rollers' Mark “Sherlock” Hulmes. The story saw the six journeying to the city of Athkatla to break a strange curse on “Tav” (the player character) and ultimately uncovering a dastardly plot masterminded byBaldur’s Gate 2villain Jon Irenicus.
During the campaign, fighter Lae’zel and cleric Shadowheartvisited the WalMart knockoff “Adventurer’s Mart,” where they met an imp named Bing Bong who served as the store’s doorbell. Bing Bong could not speak Common (other than shouting the words “Bing bong,” hence his name) and neither woman spoke Infernal, but Shadowheart immediately bonded with the little guy. She decided to have Bing Bong accompany her through the rest of the adventure, much to Lae’zel’s annoyance. Eventually, during the final battle, Lae’zel got so frustrated with Bing Bong that she picked him up and threw him as an improvised weapon in the battle against Irenicus. Due to a bad roll from actor Devora Wilde, Bing Bong unfortunately perished.

Lae’zel: Shadowheart, do release the imp. He’s not going to come on this adventure with us. We can barely manage the others, let alone AN IMP BABY!
Shadowheart: Exactly, Bing Bong.
Bing Bong Could Play Various Roles As An NPC Or Summon
Although Bing Bong sadly died during the game, the voice actors' attachment to the adorable imp was clear. Jennifer English (Shadowheart) even hosted a “funeral” for Bing Bong via her YouTube channel, featuring an Amelia Tyler-narrated eulogy and tributes from Devora Wilde and Samantha Beart (Karlach). Fans have also come to love the character, drawing fan art of him enjoying his time with the party.
The addition of Bing Bong inBaldur’s Gate 3DLCwould make a fun reference to the cast’s memorable DND game. There are several roles Bing Bong could play in the game:

In general, references to theHigh Rollerscampaign would make fun Easter Eggs for potentialBaldur’s Gate 3DLC - as well as a possible method of bringing in other characters from past games who appeared in the stream. While Bing Bong is the most obvious reference to make, other amusing nods could include Gale’s newfound love for spa treatments,Astarion’sfascination with boots and bizarre methods of drinking “wine,” and Shadowheart’s sudden infatuation with legendary Forgotten Realms character Drizzt Do’Urden. Even if the game doesn’t receive DLC,High Rollersreferences added in a future patch would likely be appreciated by fans and voice actors alike.
