According to Furukawa, after hiswork onThe Last Guardianwas finished, he met with the Swedish studio who shared its vision forPlanet of Lana. The composer fell in love with the concept of the adventures with the heartfelt duo, coming on board the project. This was then followed by a new trailer ofPlanet of Lana, which gave fans a taste of what to expect regarding the game and its music.

This newPlanet of Lanatrailershowed off Lana riding on the back of one of the spider-like robots that was shown off in the previous trailer, crossing the planet’s surface. She is however attacked a series of robots while traveling through the desert, with many of the robots ranging in shapes and sizes. They all seem to be pursuing her for an unknown reason, all the while Furukawa’s bombastic score being played in the background. The ending shot of the trailer shows Lana face down in the dirt after being attacked by the robots, with her companion trying to wake her up.

Besides the composer,The Last Guardianeven has a similar premise toPlanet of Lana, where players are placed in the shoes of a protagonist accompanied by an animal companion. The difference being that Trico is a giant griffin-like beast while Lana’s cat-like creature is much smaller in comparison. The trailer shows thatPlanet of Lanahas a lot of promise, thanks to its beautiful visuals being bolstered by Furukawa’s intense orchestral score.
