The Sims 4: Snowy Escapeintroduces a new world full of mountain adventuresand a rich culture. Sims can explore the frozen region and test their physical skills by snowboarding or skiing on Mt. Komorebi’s slopes near the top of the mountain. While the two skills are separate, they are very similar, and Sims can pick up either or both with the same methods.

The snowy mountain is perfect for sliding down, but before doing anything too complex, they must build their Skills. Sims with high enough Skill levels will also unlock new gear, social interactions, and more. So this guide is a one-stop shop for everything players need to know about Skiing and Snowboarding inThe Sims 4: Snowy Escape.

Build Snowboarding & Skiing Skills

Despite their similarities, Sims will have tolevel up Snowboarding and Skiingseparately using different gear. Adult and Child size versions of Snowboards and Skis are found in Build/Buy Mode. Alternatively, Sims can purchase sets at one of the vending machines near the ski lift in Yukimatsu.

For those who want a head start without equipment, Sims can purchase skill books for Snowboarding and Skiing using a bookshelf. Sims who try snowboarding or Skiing with low levels are more likely to injure themselves on the slopes andget a negative moodlet, so getting some reading practice in isn’t a bad idea.

Visit Mt. Komorebi’s Slopes

The quickest way to level up snowboarding and skiing Skills is by visiting the slopes on Mt. Komorebi in Yukimatsu. Players can ride the ski lift to the top of the slope or go to the smaller and child-friendly Bunny Slope. The mountain slopes, of course, are more difficult, but Sims canchoose their Ski/Snowboard styleand intensity before attempting. Sims with Confident or Energized moods have a better chance of being successful on the slopes.

Sims can go down the slopes on Low, Medium, or High Intensity. The higher the intensity, the more risky their run will be, and they will lose Hunger, Hygiene, andEnergy at a faster rate. There’s also a chance for them to earn a negative moodlet on unsuccessful high-intensity runs or hurt themselves. To Ski or Snowboard, make sure the Sim has a set of Skis or a Snowboard in their inventory; they can also use rented equipment if they don’t own any. Click on the desired equipment and choose the intensity to start the run.
