Rather than playing as thebeloved hero Geralt of Rivia, gamers will be filling the spot of a Witcher from before his time. The mobile spinoff is confirmed to be set before the books or games, ensuring that Geralt was not yet traveling throughout The Continent. This explains all the monsters, as the Witchers had not yet begun to lower their numbers. With monster hunting being a relatively new profession at the time ofThe Witcher: Monster Slayer, players should have a lot of fun playing the role of a Witcher.
Apart from the announcement of the game’s release date, the newtrailer forThe Witcher: Monster Slayerdoes not reveal much. Showing that the game can be played anywhere, this is a nice touch on the part of Spokko.
Still, the trailer does not show rawgameplay ofThe Witcher: Monster Slayer, something that could leave fans a bit confused. Based on a teaser video from a few months ago, though, gamers can expect to do a lot of stabbing. Attacks will also be blockable with the sword, with signs able to be used in certain battles as well. Tracking the monsters is likely going to be the most fun part, as the game is confirmed to feature some proper story-focused quests to complete.
