Clock King has made appearances several times, including inBatman: The Animated Series,Batman (1960s),Arrow, andThe Flash.He’s typically portrayed as a tactical planner and mastermind who is obsessed with time, even setting up traps and gimmicks that put people’s lives at risk. He’s very dangerous but not often seen getting his hands dirty. Instead, he’s a much more behind-the-scenes or ‘behind-the-screen’ villain who lets his tricks do the work for him.
That description may soundlike another villain in Batman’s rogues' gallery, The Riddler, who is set to be the main villain of the upcoming Matt ReevesBatmanfilm. So with that being said, Clock King wouldn’t serve a purpose besides being a smaller villain if he were to appear in the film. Still, Hiddleston has proven he’s more than capable of playing interesting villains through his work as Loki in the MCU, so this artwork of the actor as Clock King should be exciting for Batman fans.
