Destiny 2Twitch streamer GsxrClyde is being criticized after pushing his dog into a nearby mini-fridge live on stream. Many other Twitch streamers have also taken to social media to voice their opinions on how GsxrClyde could’ve better relocated their pushy dog.
Twitchstreamer GsxrClyde recently shared “Best of Clyde 2021” to his YouTube channel which showed several clips from his Twitch channel from throughout 2021. The video mostly included intenseDestiny 2moments, but it also showed a scene where GsxrClyde spoke to his Twitch audience as he observed a camera harness as his Doberman dog Thor starts to move in. After pushing into GsxrClyde to get a closer look at what he was holding, the Twitch streamer pushed the dog backward by the neck, causing it to stumble and fall into a nearby fridge.

On top of GsxrClyde’s shove of the big dog, the scuffle resulted in multiple things atop the aforementioned fridge to topple over from the impact of Thor hitting it before regaining his footing on the floor behind GsxrClyde. Although GsxrClyde’s immediate facial expression towards Thor pushing in during the Twitch stream was one of anger, the live streamer immediately turned around to watch the dog slink away in response. Many viewers of GsxrClyde’sYouTubevideo wondered why this clip was included in his Best of Clyde 2021 video, but many more people have responded to his handling of Thor.
While the video doesn’t require a dog owner to point out that GsxrClyde could’ve handled the situation with Thor better, many criticisms of his video are from people with similarly sized dogs. Many of these people are concerned for the Doberman and share tips on other ways to move and discipline larger animals, reminding others and GsxrClyde that controlling an animal is about discipline rather than punishment. GsxrClyde isn’t the first live streamer to be accused of animal cruelty, as otherTwitch streamers such as Alinity, and SleepyMia have both faced backlash from their treatment of animals on and off-stream respectively.
Fellow Twitch streamer Towelliee, who typically streamsNew World, shared his thoughts on the GsxrClyde situation by saying training is important for pet owners and that force isn’t necessary just because an animal is curious. Others have recommended that Twitch streamers like GsxrClyde who have large animals should keep them out of the room they stream from, but GsxrClyde has previously featured the Doberman on stream and in one previous case encouraged Thor to climb up for a treat.
Even though the large majority of responses to GsxrClyde’s video and clips of it on social media express concern for his dog, a portion of the community has defended his actions. GsxrClyde isn’t part of the crowd defending the video however as he has apologized recently about the incident during a Twitch stream prior to playingDestiny 2in which he admitted to acting immaturely and unprofessionally. GsxrClyde stated that his YouTube andTwitchare being mass reported as a result of his actions and that he’s gotten “everything from a death threat to anything you may possibly think of” from the backlash.
