Valheim’s latest update focuses on adding in new enemies and content to the game’s Mountain biome. Aside from the creation of Frost Caves and enemies such as Bats and Cultists, this update also adds a new armor set to the game. How to Craft Fenris Armor in Valheim?
Several of the materials that this armor set requires can only be found in the new Frost Caves and these spawn exclusively in the Mountain biome. It is important to note, however, that thisupdate toValheimrequires players to head towards a Mountain biome that they had previously not explored. There are three pieces to this armor set: Fenris Hood, Fenris Coat, and Fenris Leggings and players can only craft these items when they have all the required items and at least a level 2 Workbench.
Fenris Hood
The headpiece for this armor set requires 2 Wolf Pelts, 20 Fenris Hair, as well as a single Cultist Trophy. Wolf Pelts are dropped by the Wolves that wander Mountain biomes in the game and killing a handful of these should satisfy this requirement. Fenris Hair spawns in theFrost Caves that can now be found in the Mountain biome. The Cultist Trophy is the most challenging item to get on this list and only drops occasionally from dead Cultists. These new enemies can be quite the challenge and are found exclusively in Frost Caves.
Fenris Coat and Leggings
This top part of the Fenris Armor Set requires 20 Fenris Hair, 5 Wolf Pelts, and 10 Leather Scraps. Similarly to the Fenris Hood, players can head to the mountains to gather all three of these items. The major difference here are the Leather Scraps but these arerelatively easy to gather inValheim. For those looking to stay in the same area to finish this build, however, the Bats that have been added to the game are a reliable source of Leather Scraps. The bottom piece of this armor set requires the exact same materials in the same amount as the Fenris Coat.
What are the advantages of the Fenris Armor Set in Valheim?
Individually, the pieces of the Fenris Armor Set are interesting options for players looking for a mid to late game build. Collectively, this armor set becomes much more of an intriguing option. This is because when players equip all three pieces they gain a 9 percent speed bonus as well as a resistance to fire and +15 to their unarmed skill. Combining this withValheim’s new Flesh Rippersbasically turns the player into a Fenring.

Players should also note that the Fenris coat piece of this armor set adds frost resistance, fulfilling a similar role thatWolf Armor has inValheim. With the just this piece equipped players can enter the Mountain biome without taking freezing damage.
