When the Viking-inspired survival gameValheimdropped on Steam earlier this month, few might have predicted its massive rise in popularity. Less than three weeks after the game’s launch,Valheimhad already sold over three million copies, and it recently passed four million. With a player base this large, it was only a matter of time before players created unique minigames to turn the game into something even more fun.
InValheim, players are dropped in a purgatorial world with nothing but the cloth on their back. As players start gathering materials, try to findthe best locations for a base, and otherwise progress through the game, the options for customization open up. Even though the options are more restricted than other building games,Valheimdoes offer ways for players to create unique builds.

Redditor thetrueTrueDetective initially posted the setup for a classic game of beer pong with aValheimtwist. Going with the traditional set up of ten cups on each side of a table, players have to throw a ball-like item from one side of the table to the mugs on the opposite side. Cloudberries and pearls seem to work the best, and while these won’t actually go into the mugs, they will be able to rest on top of the mugs.
There areseveral things players could prioritize at the start of theirValheimgame, and maybe creating a fun minigame to play with friends should be one. It takes a little bit of work, as making a mead pong table will require a bit of fine wood and bronze nails. The fine wood will be used to build the tables and the mugs, while fine wood and bronze nails are needed to build horizontal item stands. Just place the horizontal item stands on each end of the table, attach the mugs to each of them, and players can start chucking berries with their friends.
It is a fairly innovative way to use the buildable items available in the game to make a Vikingversion of beer pong, of all things. Redditor JaplesPie even shows off the game in action. Players can create interesting and unique creations in games likeValheim, and there has even beenaValheimplayer that rebuilt Sauron’s tower fromLord of the Rings.
Iron Gate has plenty of plans to expand the content in the game, andeven the initial roadmap forValheimlooks promising. If the developers can continue to expand the creative options for players in the game, fans will surely see even more unique builds and cool designs from the community.
