Apex Legendsfans are likely ending the quest line, finishing their Battle Pass, and getting some final moments of Ranked on World’s Edge in as August draws closer. Season 5 is ending with aplomb, and anticipation for season 6 may just be at an all-time high.
With the number of lore bits and reveals for the upcoming season, it’s hard not to be excited. With theApex Legendsquests introduced in season 5 and continuing forward, players get to know their characters a little bit more, with the very first focusing on the relationship with Loba and Revenant. That’s not likely to fade, but several reveals put Bangalore, Octane, and Lifeline at the forefront going into season 6. This, in addition to thenew character being Ashand a new map, Olympus, being confirmed begs the question: when can we play it?

When Does Apex Legends Season 6 Come Out?
As with most seasonal games, one season typically begins just as one ends. Looking at the pattern of releases for pastApex Legendsseasons helps set up when players should be expecting to drop on a new map.
This end date is based on its monthly pattern, and perhaps more importantly, when the current Battle Pass expires. What this means is that players should expectApex Legendsseason 6 to begin on August 17 or 18, leaving plenty of time for teases, proper season 6 reveals, and moreLTMs inApex Legends.
Either way, players should expect to be dropping on Olympus, checking out Ash, and likely checking out anewApex Legendsgunmidway through August. Season 6 is an interesting point for the game, as it seems to be coming into its own in terms of release and content. For example,Apex Legendsshould always add one legend per season, a pattern that seems unlikely to change. However, season 5 skipped a gun, so new weapons may become an every other season thing or a random thing, depending on the game’s needs.
Yet, it’s hard not to notice that both Season 3 and Season 6 add new maps. Olympus still has a lot going for it and will likely be the main focused for Ranked, with new rotations forKings Canyonand World’s Edge in standard Trios and Duos next season, but if Season 9 were to add a map, it seems a seasonal pattern may be established regardingcharacters, guns, and maps.
Apex Legendsis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Steam and Switch ports are coming later this year.
