Initially, the game makes out like there are only two options available and won’t allow players to move on to the next objective until they’ve chosen one or the other. However, after making their decision, a third option becomes available, and it’s one that manyStarfieldplayers will likely find to be the best.

Where to Build the Armillary in Starfield

After returning to the Eye to check in on the survivors, Noel will give players the Artifacts and instruct them to keep them safe. At this point, players will either need to place the Artifacts on their ship or take them to an outpost. To do the former, they’ll need to interact with the Armillary Screen on their ship and then select the “Build Armillary” option. To accomplish the latter, they should head to an outpost, enter build mode, and then place an Armillary, which will cost five pieces of Titanium and three pieces of Neodymium.

After choosing one of these two options, players will be free to return to the mission at hand, with the next objective requiring them to head back to the Lodge in New Atlantis. However, before doing so, they may want to consider deleting the Armillary to return the Artifacts to their inventory. This will increase the chances of Starborn attacking them, but will also ensure that the Artifacts are never left unprotected. Some may even prefer having more opportunities toput their combat skills to the test.

Keeping the Artifacts in the playable character’s inventory will notaffect their carrying capacityin any way.

Of the two initial options, it’s arguably better to build the Armillary onboard one’s ship, as Starborn will generally only attack while players are piloting it. It is possible to set up defense systems at outposts or even station a crew member or two there in order to keep an eye out for Starborn invaders, but doing so requires both resources and manpower and is thus not particularly ideal. This also increases the chances of existing infrastructure being damaged during firefights, so players may want to considerbuilding a new outpostspecifically for storing the Artifacts if they decide to go down this route.
