WhenDragonflightlaunched,World of Warcraftlifted the race restrictions for the Mage, Rogue, and Priest classes.WoWPatch 10.0.5 added a number of NPCsusing these race and class combos into the game. However,World of Warcraftremoved the new Orc Priest NPCs because of their unpopular depiction.

Now, these Orc Priest NPCs have returned with a vengeance in Patch 10.0.7. Led by the Mag’har orc Nakha, these fledgling priests listen to the “song of the heart” called the Lok’ash–also the title taken by these priests. Lok’ash Nakha herself was once Seer Nakha and appeared as a quest giverin the Nagrand zone duringBurning Crusade. Priests who speak with Nakha learn the actions of the Horde player during Nagrand’s Hero of the Mag’har quest chain inspired Nakha to take up this new calling and spread it to the Orcs.
Players are directly responsible for inspiring these new Orc Priest NPCs in more ways than one. Orc Priest NPCs first appeared in the Public Test Realm for Patch 10.0.5. However, these NPCs were dressed in Alliance priest robes, and had epithets like “Brother” and “Sister.” Players were unhappy with these bland andconfusingWorld of WarcraftNPCs, leading to their removal and subsequent rework.
World of Warcraft’sefforts have certainly paid off. Players are ecstatic to see the new dynamic introduced by the Orc Priest NPCs. The new lore exemplifies Orcish spirituality well and is a perfect fit for the Horde. Additionally, many fans love that their characters were not only directly responsible for inspiring these other Priests but are acknowledged for doing so by Nakha, making the world feel more alive in the process.
Nakha and her fellow Lok’osh are not the only new class NPCs coming inDragonflightPatch 10.0.7. The new update introduces the Monk class to Lightforged Draenei, Worgen, and Goblins, all of which are getting new NPCs around Azeroth. In particular, OneGoblin Monk NPC coming toWorld of Warcraftdrew attention by selling some hilarious “sage advice” to players who pay a modest fee. These NPCs are available now in the Patch 10.0.7 PTR and will be available in retailWoWafter the patch releases in spring.
World of Warcraftis available now for PC.
