Where to Find Rock Octoroks in Tears of the Kingdom
There are multiple locations in which Rock Octoroks can be found inTears of the Kingdom. A single Rock Octorok can repair only one weapon or shield, so it may be necessary for Link to hunt out multiple of these enemies orwait for a Blood Moonfor them to respawn. The majority of Hyrule’s Rock Octorok population can be found on the many cliffs and peaks of the Eldin Mountains, around Death Mountain andGoron City.
To easily reach this area, players can teleport tothe Sitsum Shrineat the peak of Death Mountain and use their paraglider to reach the many ledges below where Rock Octoroks can be found. Additionally, the Marakugac Shrine, located near Goron City, is another great location for fast travel, as there are multiple Rock Octoroks to be found at that altitude.

Rock Octoroks are stationary enemies that will generally sit idle, above ground, until they notice Link. Once they are locked on, they will fire large boulders at Link unless he gets close enough to them to cause them to submerge. Link will have to get close to the Rock Octorok to dropa weapon to be repaired, so the player will want to be cautious in avoiding the large rocks they will shoot on their way to melee range.
Below is a list of known, confirmed locations of Rock Octorok spawns in theEldin Canyonand Eldin Mountains regions in northeastern Hyrule. Rock Octoroks can be encountered in other mountainous regions, but this area is where the highest concentration of this enemy can be found. This is extremely helpful if the player has multiple weapons they wish to repair.
